We are delighted you are interested in being a member of The Northwest Society of Interior Designers, Puget Sound Chapter. We offer a variety of membership categories which are listed below.
The NWSID membership year begins July 1st and ends June 30th of every year. Annual dues statements are mailed to all members in May for the following year. Depending on which quarter you join, you will be credited the appropriate amount on the next fiscal year dues billing statement.
To be listed on the Designer or Design Resource pages requires an additional $75.00 fee. Upon receipt of this fee, an intake form will be sent to you for your listing information.

New applicants or NWSID Associate members may become Professional members upon successful completion of the NCIDQ, CQRID or the equivalent and upon meeting ONE of the following:
New applicants or qualifying Apprentice members may become Associate members upon meeting ONE of the following:
An Apprentice membership level is a newly graduated student who has completed 4 years in an accredited interior design program or 2 years of college or technical school in an accredited interior design program and is working toward his/her work experience equivalency
A Sustaining member is a person who is a semi-retired or totally retired Professional or Associate Member in good standing who has reached the age of 62 and has been active in NWSID for 5 or more years. Sustaining Members are eligible for the same benefits as prior membership status.

Students are persons who are enrolled in an accredited interior design school, college or technical school program in interior design. Students may not vote or hold elected office in NWSID. Correspondence school and degrees from them are not acceptable.

Professional Resource Affiliates (PRA) are persons in allied trades or education who support the efforts of interior designers. PRAs may not vote or hold an NWSID elected office other than as a liaison to the chapter board. Each accredited interior design school, college, or technical school is entitled to one honorary PRA membership for an educator in the interior design department.
